Playing in the Kitchen

The workshops are hands-on designed with cooking demonstrations including summary of kitchen ABC'S, tools of the trade, measurements, kitchen rules, food safety tips and clean up. Workshops are co-ed and limited to 10-12 children. Staff for each workshop includes chef/instructor and up to three teenage camp counselors. All children receive a notebook of recipes, participate and prepare most recipes. Each day kids work in small groups to prepare the day's recipes and healthy meals. Children will have the opportunity to eat the foods they have prepared. Kids that have a hand in creating healthy meals are more likely to eat them. The last day parents are invited to taste treats prepared in the workshop.

Enrollment is taken on a first-come, first served basis. To guarantee a place in a workshop or session, payment must be received in full at time of enrollment. We accept enrollment by mail or phone.
